About Surabaya:
Surabaya is not a tourist hub. You will hardly find any foreign tourists around. And because of this, you will find it a lot difficult to communicate if you don’t know the local language. There is a tourist bus run by the department of tourism which takes you around the city for free.
Economy of the trip:
Surabaya is very economical to travel. There are a lot of shopping malls where you can get things at a discount.
Things you shouldn’t miss in Surabaya:
Take a trip to Mt.Bromo. Check up about the volcanic activity of this mountain. If its not active, you can even trek up to the crater!!
Overall:
Its worth going to Surabaya just to visit Mt.Bromo. Its an experience in itself. And yeah, Bali is 14hrs away!!
