Pattaya

When did I go:

March 2011

Where did I stay:

You get lot of inexpensive lodging options near the Pattaya beach area. I had not booked a stay here in advance.

Travelograph views:

About Pattaya:

Pattaya is a city near to Bangkok towards the coast. There is a expressway connecting Pattaya with Bangkok and there are regular buses to Pattaya from the eastern bus terminal in Ekkamai.

Economy of the trip:

Pattaya is one of the most inexpensive cities in Thailand. There are very good hotels at a low price point. This place is ideal for al budget travellers. For local commuting, you may take a Tuk-Tuk/a motorcycle taxi or even rent out a motorbike.

Things you shouldn’t miss in Pattaya:

Take a walk along the “walking street” near Pattaya beach. Enjoy the Thai massage whose tariff rate over here is much lower than that in Bangkok. Enjoy the local street food. You may also enjoy the water sports here.

Overall:

If you are interested in Thai nightlife, Pattaya is the place for you. Period.
